Some Ultimatums Are More Ultimate Than Others

Except when it's a matter of deciding whether the country's clean water should go to infoslop factories or to the plebs, Team Starmer believes, for now, that tech is made for society and not the other way around. Hence the CEO has given Apple and Google three months to think of the children, on pain of legislative compulsion if the deadline isn't met. It remains as yet unclear why the protection of junior customers and future drudges should be so urgent as to compel the CEO of Team Starmer to feign some small degree of spinal fortitude, yet simultaneously so unimportant that the law has no need to intervene regardless of what tech squillionaires might think. Even so, it would be flagrantly terroristic, un-British and antisemitic to suspect that the CEO of Team Starmer has been advised to give some friends of Mandy a bit more time to have their mobile phones stolen.
