Customer Waste Isn't Corporate Waste
One of the more illustrious moisture provision profiteers has introduced the first hosepipe ban of the season. South East Water recently tried cutting off its customers and subsequently piping them water that couldn't be used for drinking, cleaning or feedng to pets, viz. used as water; but the CEO's explanation that it was all the fault of the customers and the regulator does not appear to have done much to raise the company's standing. Still, it's a relief to know that South East Water can sometimes anticipate a rise in demand during a severe heatwave provided that demand is already rising; and it is certainly to be hoped that the plebs will act responsibly enough not to go spraying raw sewage all over their garden lawns when they ought to be saving it for themselves.
