Comic-Book Villainy

So precipitously far has Japan fallen away from the cutting edge of technology that some twenty thousand of its citizens have not yet caught up to Silicon Valley's unilateral abolition of copyright. Manga readers have registered annoyance at the theft of imagery from their favourite series by the Trumpster and his head-tribble, who have been videoslopping them as propaganda for the Persian Crusade. Publishers have issued disclaimers, for all the good that will do; and at least one plagiarised artist has prudently refrained from making any comment at all, presumably in order to avoid seeing his protest freely adapted into the next ultimatum to Cuba.
