In spite of Jeremy C Hunt's aspiration for Chinese working conditions, and even in spite of bursaries being withdrawn in order to pay Google's back taxes, the NHS is having difficulties recruiting doctors and nurses. Two-thirds of trusts are recruiting from the swarming migrant hordes: a development which the Conservatives are viewing with apparent equanimity. Foreigners, NHS staff: really, when you come down to it, they're all just coolies, aren't they?
