Doubtless entirely without reference to her income, social position or husband, the Metropolitan Police have decided not to take action against Sarah Helm over a tweet implying support for Palestine Action. The post was in sympathy with the Irish novelist Sally Rooney, who is on the Index Librorum Britannicorum Prohibitorum after expressing such support and threatening to donate her royalties to the organisation. Presumably because Helm's post included no overt opposition to genocide, there was insufficient evidence for its capacity to encourage support for the beastly terrorists; unlike a cardboard sign wielded by a Quaker grandma, which would have left the nation's peril in little doubt.
